Looking like delicate blown glass, ice is beginning to take over Moraine Lake in Canada’s Banff National Park.
Located in the province of Alberta, Moraine Lake is fed by glaciers and is one of many popular spots in the park along with Lake Louise, which is about 14 km (nearly 9 mi.) away.
The photo combines the crystal-clear lake, snow-dusted mountains (known as the “Twenty Dollar View” since it used to be featured on the Canadian $ 20 bill), and a glimpse of blue sky for a beautiful winter landscape.
The shot was captured by photographer Jesse McLean.
