As part of the “Experience Aurora” project, photographer Richard Gottardo recently compiled a timelapse video composed of more than 1,500 individual photos. Taken over the course of seven hours between night and early morning and across a distance of 400 kilometers, the video shows otherworldly shades of green and blue flickering behind the snow-dusted Rocky Mountains:
