Samsung was the first to announce some of its new offerings pre-CES, but the company didn’t let all of its cats out of the bag right away. In addition to the NX30, Galaxy Camera 2 and 16-50mm f/2-2.8 premium lens already announced, Samsung yesterday also refreshed its SMART camera lineup with a few point-and-shoots and two superzooms, one of which packs dual grips and monstrous 60x zoom.
The big boy of the bunch, and the one that has been making headlines, the Samsung WB2200F is a 60x optical zoom monster of a camera that is made all the more monstrous looking because it features both portrait and landscape grips, basically adding a non-removable battery grip.
Spec-wise, the WB2200F packs a 16.3-megapixel 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor, a 60x 20-1200mm f/2.8-5.9 lens, built-in OIS (thank God…), 3-inch hVGA LCD, EVF, full HD video recording, HDMI output, a larger battery that promises more shooting time per charge and built-in WiFi and NFC so you can take advantage of the slew of “smart” features the camera comes with.

The WB1100F is the 2200′s little sibling, and unlike the 60x monster it doesn’t sport dual grip or any other feature that will make it particularly unique among superzooms.
The internals are similar, though slightly less impressive than the 2200′s. A 16.2-megapixel 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor is joined by a 35x 25-875mm f/3-5.9 lens, optical and digital stabilization, 3-inch hVGA LCD Screen, 720p max resolution video recording, and WiFi and NFC capability built-in.
As with the 2200, you can already pre-order the 1100. The camera is available over on B&H for $ 250.
